Phenotype Mice

The Mouse Phenotyping Network (MPN) is a unique association of faculty expertise in specific areas of mouse-related scientific research with the Mouse Biology Program. The goal of the MPN is to utilize the extraordinary breadth and talent of UC Davis faculty as a resource for information in a variety of areas of genetically-altered mouse phenotyping. For example, an investigator may have created a knockout mouse intending to produce a model for diabetes, yet the mouse demonstrates a cardiovascular phenotype…the investigator can contact our mouse cardiovascular specialist in the MPN for assistance. The faculty and their laboratories of the MPN described in this section are available for consultation, discussion, collaboration, and in some cases, fee-for-service phenotyping of genetically-altered mice. Individual investigators are encouraged to contact these faculty members with their questions, comments, or ideas.
